So, this week we’re sitting under a holy tree next to the river in Hampi, the UNESCO world heritage site (and my fave place in India).

You can hear the clang of the bell to wake the idol in the temple, the hum of tourists and pilgrims and the incredibly annoying sound of an Indian squirrel. That’s the thing that sounds like a car alarm. Really, those things are so loud. You’ll be able to spot the sound, it’s almost identical to an 80s car alarm.

So come and join me for a little sit down in the shade and soak it all in.

Incidentally the river we’re looking at is the Tungabhadra River. Just thought you’d like to know that.
