It’s back! It’s been on vacation for a few months (see what I did there?), but finally our 1 minute holiday series is back.

And we’re kicking off the new season with a taste of Indian village life – in this case in Karnataka. I’m often asked by Western pals to describe what ‘being in India was like’. Which if you think about it, is a hellish large question, but this little video, will indeed give you a taste of it flowing past the window.

Once you’re out of the cities, much of Southern India looks like this – little shops, quiet roads, auto rickshaws, random livestock wandering about. This particular small village is near Hampi, but it’s a fair example of the genre.

It makes me quite homesick actually. Bring on the quiet life…
