Madam Signage Sunday - Relentless Optimism tunnelThis week I’m in Bristol in the south west of Britain.

It’s a beautiful city with a rich history and a lively feel.

It’s also utterly plastered in ace street art.

My eye was particularly taken by this optimistic little number in a large underpass called the ‘Bear Pit’

You’ll note the fact I’ve cunningly snapped it in as the light at the end of the tunnel. Eh, eh, see what I did there?

Madam Signage Sunday - Relentless OptimismNot that clever of course, but it entertained me as I strolled about in the sunshine with my pal this afternoon. He was bravely telling me it wasn’t cold (being a local), and I was muffled to the eyeballs, wearing many layers including, but in no way limited to, a thermal vest, gloves and a very warm Kashmiri scarf.

But, although chilly, I felt bursting with happiness and optimism – so this lovely sign was a welcome sight.
